Overview
24-channel 192kHz bus-powered professional USB 2.0 audio interface.
Precision Design and Performance for Portable Recording
When the original Babyface Pro was released, it reinforced RMEs commitment to superior craftsmanshipnot only in audio circuit and driver development, but also in mechanical design. Built from a block of precision-machined aluminum, it featured advanced analog and digital circuitry with innovative power-saving technology for clean performance with no compromise in level, noise or distortion.
Upgraded Features in the Babyface Pro FS
The Babyface Pro FS brings major improvements, including a +19/+4dBu switch for better SNR with active monitors, the full SteadyClock FS circuit from the ADI-2 Pro FS, and enhanced headphone output performance. Mic input SNR has been improved, THD reduced and latency cut even furtherwhile maintaining the same low power consumption. A built-in K-slot adds theft protection for added peace of mind.
ADI-2 Series Headphone Output Power
The dual headphone outputsTRS and mini jackeach use independent driver stages, offering optimal matching for low- and high-impedance headphones. The 3.5 mm TRS output now delivers 90 mW of power, with THD reduced by up to 10 dB and output impedance lowered from 2 ohms to just 0.1 ohms.
Full-Range Capture With Pro-Level I/O
RMEs integrated XLR sockets save space while preserving full connectivity. Digitally controlled mic preamps offer 48V phantom power and a 76 dB gain range in 1 dB steps, plus a relay-driven PAD and excellent EIN specs. A TOSLINK I/O port supports ADAT and SPDIF up to 192kHz, and the unit supports up to 12 analog inputs and outputs when expanded via ADAT.
More Pro-Level Performance With SteadyClock FS
The Babyface Pro FS features RMEs SteadyClock FS technology for ultra-low jitter and high clock stability. This ensures digital signal integrity and enhanced soundstage depth and clarity. Whether converting digital formats or monitoring high-res playback, SteadyClock FS guarantees clean, accurate signal transmission.
Mixing and Routing With TotalMix FX and TotalMix Remote
With TotalMix FX, Babyface Pro FS offers complete routing and submix control across all inputs and outputs, plus a Control Room section for advanced monitoring setups. Built-in DSP includes EQ, reverb and delay. Use the iOS app or TotalMix Remote to wirelessly control sessions via Mac, PC or tabletideal for studio or live workflows.
Easy to Use and Perfectly Stable
The Babyface Pro FS offers intuitive access to all functions through its clean interface. Every circuit has been tuned for optimal audio integrity, delivering accurate signal transfer with nothing added or taken away. Its ready to meet professional demands in a highly portable, bus-powered design.
RME USB With Industry-Leading Latency and Stability
RME pioneered pro-grade multichannel USB 2.0 performance and continues to lead with stable, up-to-date driver support. Because RME develops its own interface core, updates and compatibility with modern OS platforms are fast and reliableno third-party delays or interruptions.
